摘要
The combination of double quadrupole resonance with the application of small steady fields to the specimen is a simple method of accurately obtaining the nuclear quadrupole coupling constants e2qQ/h and η and the magnetogyric ratio γ of spin- 3 2 nuclei in powdered solids. The method is illustrated for 23Na in NaOH and two of its hydrates and the quadrupole coupling constants obtained at 77 K are as follows: NaOH, 3734 ± 10 kHz and 0.40 ± 0.1; NaOH·H2O, 2273 ± 10 kHz and 0.60 ± 0.1; and NaOH·4H2O, 1287 ± 10 kHz and 0.62 ± 0.15, respectively. © 1979.
