摘要：
This paper sets out traces of the past, present and future of Proprietary Security Rights over movables in some European legal Systems, in particular France and Germany, as well as in the recent DCFR. Based on the distinction between 'Formal' and 'Functional' Security Rights, the article describes three examples of how this issue was addressed implementing different approaches.
