Click-inspired facile synthesis of novel bis-triazolyl glycoconjugates

摘要
Coupling of two monosaccharide units have been achieved through stable triazole linkages by two alternative approaches inspired by click reaction. In the first approach the desired sugar-linked alkyne, epichlorohydrin and NaN3 are allowed to reaction a three-component one-pot reaction to yield the desired bis-triazolyl glycoconjugateas a minor product, with the corresponding azidohydroxy triazole as the major product. The second approach involved a two-step process wherein the azidohydroxytriazole isolated from the one-pot reaction described above is treated with the sugar-linked alkyne in a second round of the click reaction to yield the desired cross-linked bis-triazolyl glycoconjugate in excellent yields. The synthesized compounds were characterized by extensive spectral analysis (IR, MS, and NMR).
