摘要：

Herd records serve two major purposes. First, the data collected on a beef herd can be used to appraise overall cow herd productivity and evaluate how management regimens have affected overall cow herd output. Second, individual performance data may be used in the genetic evaluation of the herd. Computerized record systems aid veterinarians and producers in collecting and properly interpreting cow herd data.
