摘要：
The method of optical pumping of diamagnetic atoms with zero orbital angular momentum (S01) has been extended to an atom with nonzero orbital angular momentum (P03), yielding |μI|uncorrected=0.5726(6)μN. An expression for the signal is found and the complications of branching to the metastables are discussed. The appratus is described. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
