摘要
This article starts by calling for the attention of professionals working with families, to warn them on how the concept of equality acquires different connotations depending upon the context in which it is applied. Thus, in the plane of interpersonal-relationship proper to families and other small daily groups, equality is an ethical tradition. With this warning being surpassed, and given the confusion between equality and equity, this reflection is oriented to pointing out differences between these two terms; for this purpose a provoking idea taken from Amelia Valcarcel's work in which the author establishes that "Equality is ethical and equity is political" is considered. In conclusion, the inseparability of equality and equity when decisions and actions are set into motion to face different types and daily present injustice in several and small distributive scenarios including family, is explained. In this concluding part, one more distinction between equality and equity is highlighted by conferring this last one the "ethical asset" character.
