摘要
Bromination, of 3,3-di-p-methoxyohenyloropenoic acid in different solvents led to the formation of a number of products among which may be mentioned: 1,1,4,4-tetra-p-methoxyphenyl-buta-1,3-diene, 4,4'-dimcthoxyphenylacetylene, 4-methoxyben l-4'-methoxyphenyl kentone, 1,1-di-p-methoxyphenylethylene and its 2-bromo-derivative. The reaction products were influenced by the nature of the sohent as well as the reaction conditions. © (1980), (Indian Academy of Sciences). All Rights Reserved.
