摘要
Seeds were collected from 37 stands of Alnus glutinosa found mainly in France. The genetic diversity was studied from the 19 polymorphic loci analysed in one seedling per collected tree. The stands could be clustered into regional groups. The average expected heterozygosity within regional group was about 0.24. The genetic diversity between provenances (F(st)) was quite high and reached 0.20, but the important differentiation within regional groups (F(is) = 0.10) suggested that the evolution of the populations was mainly local.
