A DIRECT EFFECT OF T-ACTIVIN THYMIC PREPARATIONS ON THE MONONUCLEAR-CELLS FROM HEALTHY DONORS AND OVARY CARCINOMA PATIENTS - POTENTIAL-SENSITIVE FLUORESCENT-PROBE INVESTIGATION

摘要
The interaction between T-activin thymic preparations and human peripheral blood mononuclear cells from healthy donors and patients with ovary carcinoma before and after theatment (operation, chemotherapy, T-activin) were studied using the fluorescent probe 4-(p-dimethylaminostyryl)-1-methylpyridinium (DSM). A direct effect of T-activin on cells was found using the changes in DSM fluorescence. The effects of the preparations on the cells from healthy donors and patients with ovary carcinoma before and after treatment were different. Cell reaction depends on T-activin concentration. Because DSM is a potential-sensitive fluorescent probe, the changes in the fluorescence intensity indicates that electric field changes of plasma and mitochondrion membrane potentials of the mononuclear cells play an essential role in the mechanism of T-activin effect on cells.
