Electrical resistance and Hall effect have been measured on as Nd1-xPrxBa2Cu3Oy (NPBCO) system as well as Nd1+xBa2-xCu3Oy (NBCO) one. The resistivity increases with increasing x for both systems and non-metallic temperature dependence of the resistivity appears in the samples above x approximately 0.25. The hole number n becomes almost constant above x = 0.2 in the NPBCO system though n decreases in the region of x less-than-or-equal-to 0.1. These results suggest that the resistivity increases because a scattering of the conduction carriers becomes strong with increasing x. The disappearance of the superconductivity in the NPBCO system may originate mainly from not hole filling by the Pr ions but localization effect due to the substitution of the Pr ions.
