摘要
The paper presents a comparison of the steady-state performance of self-excited reluctance and induction generators. Segmental and salient-rotors have been built to suit the stator of a three phase induction machine. The machine was operated in the two modes of generation. Results from computer models for no-load and load conditions have been confirmed with experimental results. The results of the two generation modes have been compared. It has been shown that the reluctance generator has equal chances of being used for wind power generation. In addition it has the advantage of operating at a fixed frequency. Although both types of rotor may be used, better performance is obtained from segmental-rotors. © 1990 IEEE
