摘要:
A pulsed neutron method for measuring thermal diffusion parameters of non-moderating media was developed recently and tested on iron. The evaluation of the measured data was performed in a one-velocity diffusion approximation. An attempt was made later to account for the diffusion cooling effect in an empirical way. In this paper an analysis of this type of measurement is performed based on higher order energy-dependent transport calculations, clarifying the influence on the evaluated data of hardening of the neutron spectrum occurring in the non-moderating sample.
