摘要
The permeation, at 50-degrees-C, of He, H-2, Ne, Ar, Kr, CO, CH4, O2, N2 and CO2 through a bare poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) membrane and through a PET membrane which had been deposited in vacuum with a 1000 angstrom thick layer of SiO2, was investigated. The SiO2 layer acts as a gas-selective barrier, causing an increase (up to 3.3 times) in the He permeation selectivity and only a, small decrease-about 1.012 times-in the He flux through the deposited membrane.
