摘要
This essay addresses the role of consciousness in L'etre et le neant, the magnum opus of Sartrean philosophy. It analyses the implications of consciousness on time and its inalienable occur in human existence's happening; the unavoidable contact with the other and the others as surrounding beings in the World; language's effect as origin and culmen of knowledge; and the correspondent situation for every human being, that is to say, the finitude, freedom's impossibility and ineffectiveness of a total encounter with himself.
