摘要：

There is no doubt to the fact that the US's arbitrary decision to invade Iraq underscored the legitimacy crisis that the UN faces and furthermore it showed that the international organization is constantly being passed over when it comes to international decision making. As such, the Security Council, whose mission is to maintain peace and security worldwide was not capable of stopping the war nor of making the US give back to the people of Iraq their own sovereignty. As such, an enlarged Council is needed to voice the demands of the international community. This article deals with the problems that surround the idea of reorganizing the international system.
