摘要：

The United States Department of Agriculture maintains research programs on dairy cattle and dairy foods and also funds dairy research at state agricultural experiment stations. Six centers for dairy research maintain dairy food research programs with major support from US dairy farmers. In 1992, 1,915 new US dairy or imitation dairy food products were developed and introduced to the market, requiring an enormous research commitment.
