摘要
The numerical method for treating the vorticity singularity of incompressible viscous flow around a re-entrant sharp corner is discussed. Based on comparisons of the ad hoc methods and the Moffatt expansion method, a new scheme, the vorticity-circulation method, is developed for contracting flow which is characterized by local flow acceleration and separation. The scheme is applied to the flow in a sudden contraction for a range of Reynolds numbers. The computational results are compared with published experimental data and other numerical methods.
