ZEOLITE SYNTHESIS IN THE SYSTEM PENTAERYTHRITOL NA2SO4-NA2O-SIO2-AL2O3-CH3OH

摘要
CT-5 is a new type of zeolite that was prepared from the nonaqueous system pentaerythritol-Na2SO4-Na2O-SiO2-Al2O3-CH3OH. XRD, SEM, i.r. and t.g.-d.t.a. techniques were used for characterizing this CT-5 zeolite. The peak intensity is different from zeolite ZSM-22 formed in a hydrothermal system. In the i.r. pattern, there is an adsorption band at 1103 cm-1 for CT-5. However, the zeolite ZSM-22 has three adsorption bands about this wave number. The reactant mixtures have important effects on the products. The pure zeolite CT-5 could not be formed without pentaerythritol and Na2SO4 in this synthesis system.
