摘要
SUMMARY.— Two anephric patients on twice weekly maintenance haemodi‐alysis developed staphylococcal infections of their Scribner Teflon‐silastic arteriovenous shunts. Both patients were treated with very large doses of cephaloridine and cloxacillin in an attempt to preserve the shunts. Shedding of finger and toe nails developed in both patients some 6 to 12 weeks after the start of antibiotic therapy. Regrowth of the nails occurred normally. Copyright © 1969, Wiley Blackwell.
