摘要
The photophysical properties of two mixed dimers, covalently coupled via an oxygen atom (dimer I) or an amide bond (dimer II), are investigated. Intramolecular energy transfer processes are very efficient in both compounds, especially in the dimer II for which the singlet to singlet transfer yield is close to unity. This efficiency is explained by the large overlap between the fluorescence spectrum of the donor and the absorption spectrum of the acceptor moiety of dimer II.
