摘要
The research was conducted with the aim of proposing a management procedure for the comprehensive improvement that contributes to improving the professional performance of university professors at the University of Isla de la Juventud. Among the methods of theoretical level they are: historical - logical, structural, systemic, analytic - synthetic, modeling and from the empirical level the document analysis and an initial diagnosis, which allowed to analyze the transformations of higher education before changing environment. As a result of research components they interrelate dialectically to form the procedure laid down, which is based on the elaborate foundations that characterize this process, which is closely related to the strategic conception of the university. The procedure identifies management functions to develop in each phase and stage, aimed at achieving the implementation of the system of comprehensive improvement for teachers of the University of Isla de la Juventud, from the management process on the principle of management knowledge.
