摘要
The involvement of anharmonic interactions in the IVR behavior of S1 anthracene has been studied. On the basis of certain general assumptions concerning the anharmonic coupling mechanism and of detailed vibronic level density computations, the effective level density relevant to IVR has been estimated. Those estimations have been compared with data derived from the experimental work of Zewail and co-workers. In this way definite conclusions could be reached on the role played by anharmonic interactions in the relaxation processes investigated. © 1990.
