CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ISSUE OF FIRST PHILOSOPHY IN ARISTOTLE'S METAPHYSICS

One of the most important issues - and perhaps the single most difficult one - which the reader of the Metaphysics has to deal with is to determine whether the work is concerned with a single preeminent science or if it contains different projects of preeminent science. In this paper we discuss the views of some of the most important interpreters on the subject and, finally, we draft a solution to the referred issue.
