摘要
Magnetic field effects (MFE) of the photoconductivity of beta-carotene single crystals were studied at room temperature. Two effects with different sign and angular dependence were observed and interpreted as due to radical pair recombination and the interaction of triplet excitons with trapped charges. A model of the photophysical processes that take place at the surface of the beta-carotene crystals describing our observations is presented.
