DEMIXING BINARY-LIQUID ALLOYS

摘要
An isopiestic method to measure the extent of a miscibility gap of liquid binary alloys, in which one component has a high volatility, is presented. The results for Bi-Zn together with other experimental data are used to obtain an optimized set of thermodynamic functions and the phase equilibria by the least square method. A simple model assuming the existence of polyatomic self associates in a demixing liquid alloy is used to describe the thermodynamic functions and the concentration fluctuations.
